Crabsnakes, also known as "crabs-on-strings" or "stringycrabs", are aggressive free-roaming enemies that will pursue Ecco in a similar way to Sea Worms or Vortex Dragons. They are similar to the sessile Crabworm. They appeared in the Alpha version of Ecco 2.
It is thought that they became Vortex Dragons, another Vortex fauna, on Ecco: The Tides of Time's release.
Behaviour
Crabsnakes travel freely across the screen and home in on Ecco in intelligent movements. They are hard to avoid.
